We’re extra protective after facing some pretty significant fires over the years, including the El Portal fire that burned nearly 5000 acres in 2014, and so our grills and firepits will most likely be gas ones.

Coarsegold is named for the large pieces of gold that were found in the area during the gold rush days (called coarse gold) and for the fact that it is the oldest surviving gold rush town today!
