Wake up on the water at Bass Lake.

Bass Lake is one of the few lakes in the Sierra Nevada foothills that allows motorized boats, which makes it a different kind of trip. Wakeboarding, water skiing, fishing, and sunset cruises are all on the table. A few of our homes sit right on the water with a fully private dock — yours for the week, no sharing. Others have a dedicated boat slip so you can keep your boat close and get out whenever the mood strikes. Lake McClure and Lake McSwain are also nearby if you want to explore further.

A full day on Bass Lake earns a good night's sleep. These homes are set up for it: plush beds, quiet surroundings, and nothing to do but rest. Most have outdoor decks or patios that face the water, so you can eat outside, have a drink at sunset, or just sit and watch the lake go still. Several properties have private hot tubs for winding down after a long day on the boat. Fire pits are common too, and the evenings here are worth staying up for.
