Once upon a time in America, the housing landscape looked a lot different than it does today, with log cabins providing homes for settlers. Simple to build and offering a rustic charm, these properties gave those early Americans all they needed for protection against the wild, and when you are seeking a similar but more luxurious home for your upcoming Oakhurst vacation, Love Yosemite! steps up to the plate and knocks it out of the park! Our Oakhurst cabin rentals provide all the retro charm of a log cabin, but with luxury amenities and comforts those early Americans could never dream would exist, and this guide will show you how spoiled you will be!
The Big Difference
Those early cabins of America were utilitarian ones, built quickly to house entire families, and although they offered fireplaces for warmth, kitchens to feed the family, and doors to guard against wildlife, luxury was not a consideration, and not surprisingly, neither was size. Our Oakhurst cabins, however, take on all the charm of the early cabins and then go the extra step providing modern amenities, modern comforts, and modern luxuries. Moreover, even though we do offer smaller and cozier cabins, we also provide large cabins with as many as 6 bedrooms (although you might consider our 6-bedroom cabins lodges as opposed to cabins). Our passion is providing our guests with the most comfortable vacation experience ever, and our cabins will be designed to give travelers respite, peace, and all the comforts of home.
Luxury Amenities
You should expect and will receive the standard amenities that make vacation life more comfortable in all our Love Yosemite! sanctuaries, but you may not expect to find fully equipped game rooms, high-end appliances, or even electric vehicle charging stations. Wood-burning is restricted in Oakhurst vacation rentals, but when you want to sit outside on a cool night, gas firepits are allowed to be used year round. Propane grills are provided at most retreats, and hot tubs are more common than not. Beds will not be made from hay and mattress ticking, but will feature premium mattresses, often pillow-top ones, and will be covered with high thread count linens that feel soft against your skin. We know the importance of the little details, and every attention is paid to every luxury, ensuring this will be a getaway that will treat you in the manner we think you deserve.
Your Kids Will Be Happy, Too
When you really think about taking a family vacation, you might be a little scared as you realize that you are going to need to find activities that appeal to a wide span of ages and accommodations that those same people will all need to feel comfortable in. Fortunately, you’ve chosen our Oakhurst cabins for your accommodation needs, and we’ve thought about the things your children will need. Many of our cabins will offer highchairs and pack ‘n’ plays for your infants and toddlers, so you can cross those things off your packing list, and in some cases, you may even find a playground structure in the large backyards. In our larger cabins, game rooms equipped with arcade games, game tables, and quite often, supersized state of the art televisions will give your teens and tweens many hours of fun and ensure that the words “I’m bored!” will never be uttered. Bunk beds and dorm rooms will give your littles their own space to whisper, giggle, and dream the night away, and parents will be close enough to admonish them when the whispers and giggles continue too long.
Relaxation Is Key
When was the last time you were able to take a nap on a hammock on a summer day? You may not be able to remember, but when you choose a Love Yosemite! cabin, we can predict that you will be doing so on your next vacation! Relaxation is the key to the most memorable of vacations, and many of our cabins will offer at least one hammock tied between two trees in their backyards. Playing board games with the family while gathered around dining room tables surrounded by the most comfortable chairs in the valley is another way families can relax together when not out exploring the park. Or they can sink into the plush sofas and choose a Disney movie night, streaming all their favorite movies on televisions that offer pictures so clear, your little princess will think she is surrounded by princesses for real. Your most relaxing moments, however, may be the ones in which you find yourself submerged in the bubbling heated waters of our hot tubs, staring into a night sky filled with the lights of a billion stars, and feeling the jets hit every single one of your aching joints.
Secluded But Not Isolated
As much as we all dream of living on a desert island for at least a few weeks, the realization that even during your most private and secluded of vacation experiences, you will still find the need to dine out, to visit a theater, even to throw some axes to release bottled up frustrations and your proximity to Oakhurst will give you all sorts of wonderful ways to do all of the above. Enjoy a fine dining experience at the Elderberry House (48688 Victoria Lane) and follow it up with a live performance play at the Golden Chain Theater (42130 CA-41). Or take the whole family to Yosemite Axe Throwing, located at 40761 CA-41, and discover the fun you can have throwing axes at real trees! (Good for ages 8 and up) Your stay in our Oakhurst cabins will be idyllic and relaxing, and because of our proximity to the town of Oakhurst, your adventures will be unforgettable and fun!

FAQs
-
We prefer homes that are modern and sleek in design, does Love Yosemite! offer any cabins with that design style?
Sometimes it is the contrasts that make life more enjoyable, and what is more contrasting than a rustic log cabin featuring a thoroughly modern interior? We love to surprise our guests, and the quiet simplicity of this décor style is something we do provide.
-
You mentioned that Yosemite Axe Throwing uses real trees, that can’t be good for the forests?
Yosemite Axe Throwing is the only axe throwing company in the world that uses real trees, but they don’t chop them down themselves. The trees you will toss your axe into are ones that were lost to storms, fires, drought, or the evil bark beetle, so there is no need to worry about our forests.
-
There’s a wood-burning stove in our Oakhurst cabin, but the rules state we can’t use it in the summer months, why is that?
As you can well imagine, the risk of wildfires is very high in the summer months, and Yosemite has lost many acres of forests due to past ones. Additionally, when you start every morning taking a deep breath of fresh air, we want that air to stay that fresh and clean, and a ban on woodfires helps keep it so.

We like to stop at weird roadside attractions, such as the biggest frying pan or Carhenge, is there something like this in Oakhurst?
The Talking Bear, located at 40307 CA-41, has been a much-beloved roadside attraction since it first appeared on the scene in 1923. Made of fiberglass and repeating a taped message that begins with a growl and ends with a message about talking real estate, the Talking Bear offers a quirky selfie spot.
