Although there are just two local shops near your secluded Love Yosemite! vacation home, its prime location puts you at 20 to 40 miles away from some of the park’s most iconic destinations, cutting your travel time in half: Yosemite Valley, formed by glaciers that were known to be 4000 feet in thickness; Glacier Point, known for its panoramic views of Yosemite Valley; and the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias, where trees that are thousands of years old never fail to fascinate and thrill all who visit. The McGurk Meadow Trail is one of our favorites, featuring meadows that are filled with wildflowers in the spring and offering a serene beauty that just begs to be the spot for a romantic picnic with your favorite hiking partner. This trail is a short one lasting just 2+ miles and offering a very little gain in elevation, making it easy for hikers of all skill levels.
