A Little About Bass Lake
Bass Lake is both an unincorporated small town and a lake created from the making of Crane Valley Dam, and just over 100 years ago, it was nothing more than a happy creek (Willow Creek) ambling through a verdant valley. Today, only 675 residents call the town home year round, with that number multiplying during the summer season, and although there may not be any glitzy theaters or Michelin Star restaurants in the area, what you do find to do here will speak to your heart, ensuring you will never miss the bright lights of big city vacation life.
Spend your days riding an innertube behind a rented boat on the lake, sitting on private docks with pole in hand, cooler at your side, and many hours of leisure in front of you. And when night falls and the moon casts its ethereal glow over the lake and the landscape, slipping inside our Bass Lake retreats for a night of deep sleep and happy dreams will become memories that you will cherish forever.
A Hike to Angel Falls Via Willow Creek Trail
Yosemite National Park is known for its giant sequoias and its super tall waterfalls, and although Angel Falls is not tall—we like to consider it fun sized instead of small—they still offer a glimpse of what brings travelers from all over the world to our doorstep for hiking. The Willow Creek Trail is one of moderate difficulty, wandering for about 3 miles (in a loop) and bringing you to the rocks that the falls tumble over. Angel Falls is more of a series of falls, surrounded by woodland and as the water falls, your sense of serenity will grow, even as there is an elevation gain of nearly 600 feet that will bring you to the base of Angel Falls.
