Traditions are important to the structure of families, and one of the most vital (and fun) traditions is the annual family vacation. Real life doesn’t offer the opportunity to spend days at a time enjoying the company of our families, but when you take them far away from chores, honey-do lists, and everyday activities, the opportunity to get to know your kids better, to retighten bonds with your life partner, is something you will treasure. When your vacation journey brings you to Bass Lake in California, Love Yosemite! provides the idyllic family-friendly cabins near Bass Lake you have always dreamed about, and this guide will show you how blissful your Yosemite area adventures will be when you choose our homes for your accommodations.
Designed for Families
When you remember all of the times you stayed with your in-laws, barely daring to breathe as your children left handprints on shiny glass doors or bumped into tables loaded with expensive and breakable tchotchkes, the relief you will feel upon stepping inside our family-friendly rentals for the first time will be palpable. Our cabins, cottages, and lodges are designed to be lived in, and although they will be sparkling clean (With much thanks given to our housekeeping team!) you won’t have a disapproving mother-in-law scowling at each spill at the table or handprints left on glass doors. Comfortable, inviting, and welcoming to travelers of all ages, these rooms will feel like home at first sight, and tired parents will feel tight muscles loosening as their explorations of all the treasures awaiting them begin.
Spacious and Comfortable
If you are of the generation that remembers when vacation accommodations were hotel rooms in which you crammed all members of the family, your appreciation of our spacious retreats will be increased. Even our smallest Bass Lake sanctuaries will feature large living rooms furnished with plush sofas and chairs, spacious dining rooms offering enough seats for every seat in your traveling party, and quite likely, large decks offering breathtaking views, furnished with outdoor chairs and offering more ways to appreciate all the room we have to offer. Barbecue grills will offer alternative ways of cooking the family meal when you decide to stay in for the evening, and because a Bass Lake sunset is a sight that you will never forget, many will also offer outdoor tables and chairs to ensure your sunset dinners will include unobstructed views of the sunset.
Luxury Amenities, Rustic Charms
Even with all the rustic charms our cabins exhibit, luxury amenities will enhance the idyllic nature of your getaway, offering modern appeal and more ways to relax and savor this time out from real life. High-speed internet will allow you to work from our homes (if you absolutely must) and state of the art televisions will be greatly appreciated on the rare but somehow wonderful stormy Yosemite nights. Game tables may provide another way to enjoy this downtime with your family and as you hike through the park during the daylight hours, soaking achy and tired muscles in hot tubs under the stars may end up being your favorite part of your vacation experience. High end appliances in the kitchens help take the drudgery out of meal prep and although no one likes to do chores on vacation, laundry rooms or laundry closets will ensure that you can pack light and save room in your suitcase for all the souvenirs you purchase during your California adventures!
Family Moments
We really don’t get to spend enough time with our families during real life, making it even more important to continue the tradition of family vacations, and in every room of our cabins, there will be more ways to spend time with your favorite people. The kitchen, the heart of the home, has always been where secrets are shared, and on days you decide to stay in and explore the amenities of our homes, perhaps the secrets you share in here will be the ingredients of the family favorite recipes.
Sitting around the dining room table for meals and conversations can help share more secrets. Your teens might talk about their dreams of getting into med school. Your college-aged kids may share that they met someone special who could be “the one.” Movie nights are always a good idea, and our modern televisions will make you feel as if you are an extra on the screen. When it is time to put your toddlers to bed, climbing into the bed with them as you read one more story can end up being the most memorable moment in your Yosemite vacation.

We promised our kids ice cream after a hike through Yosemite National Park, do you have any suggestions?
Reimer’s Candies & Ice Cream, located at 41969 CA-41 in Oakhurst, would be our top suggestion, but be prepared to leave with more than ice cream. Their candies, souvenirs, and other items will just miraculously jump off the shelves and into your shopping bag!

Why can’t we use the wood-burning fireplace in the summer or fall?
